Wax lotion specially used to improve waterproof and scratch resistance of building paint film

Building exterior wall coatings need to get rid of wall discoloration, fading, poor weather resistance, UV radiation resistance, water seepage, water marks and other problems, wall cracking/crazing, peeling and pulverization. These reasons are because the quality of the coating preparation process cannot meet the requirements. As a commonly used additive in the building paint system, wax lotion can improve the performance of the paint film. What performance does wax lotion mainly improve?

1. Degassing property: for metal substrates, such as cast iron, cast aluminum, and zinc, they must avoid small molecular substances, while polyethylene wax lotion solves the coating defects such as pores, bubbles, and depressions caused by the substrate.

2. Improving leveling property: because there are many differences between building coatings and industrial coating substrates, especially the industrial coating substrates are diverse, which are very important for water-based wax lotion with good wetting leveling effect, so it has a better wetting effect in resin coated fillers and pigments.

3. Improve the smoothness of paint film: basically every wax lotion has the effect of improving the smoothness of paint film and increasing the storage stability of paint. A small amount of polyethylene wax lotion is added to prevent it from sticking to the cooling roll after extrusion.

4. Control glossiness: during baking, the wax component will float to the surface of the coating film to form a transparent paint film. The smaller the particle size is, the less gloss it will have, but if the particle size is large enough, it may have the effect of reducing gloss. The wax lotion can maintain the glossiness of the paint surface at a certain temperature.

5. Wear resistant, scratch resistant, and abrasion resistant: Wax components are distributed on the surface of the coating to protect it, prevent scratches and abrasions, and provide wear resistance.

The application effect of wax lotion in the field of architectural coatings is also closely related to the particle size and stability of wax lotion.
